Kaspersky Updater - Allows you to update your Kaspersky
Kaspersky Updater is a program designed to download and manually save updates and modules of the Kaspersky Lab’s software into a separate directory.
With the help of the utility you can download updates for any Kaspersky Lab’s applications installed either in the corporate network or at home. Once downloaded the updates and/or autopatches can be saved onto a flash-carrier, in a local folder or network folder connected as a disc to the computer file system.
1. Download the archive with the update utility and with the GUI -
Kaspersky Update Downloader [RAR, 908KB].
2. Unpack it into the folder on any computer which has the Internet connection
3. Run KasperskyUpdater.exe.
4. Select “
Download databases for the selected products” and check the boxes according to which version of base that you want to download. Click
Apply then
Start and it will start to download. First time will take quite a while to complete downloading but after that it should only a few seconds because it supports incremental updates.
Once all necessary updates are downloaded, you can update the selected applications from the created
Updates folder.
Configure update of
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 or
Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 from the
Updates folder, into which the updates have been saved.
For it:
- Open the application main window;
- Click the Settings button;
- Select the Update menu in the left part of the window;
- Click the Settings button in the right part of the window;
- Click the Add link;
- Select the folder into which the application databases and modules were saved by the utility (the Updates subfolder in the folder of the update utility) and click OK
- On he Source tab clear the box for Kaspersky Lab’s update servers;
- Click OK to close each window
- Run the update process to update the databases and application modules.
